New developments in stabbing case of MSU student

About two weeks since the MSU community first heard about the death of two fellow Spartans, new information has been obtained about the fatal stabbing of nutritional sciences senior Andrew Singler. When primary suspect Connor McCowan, 18, an Okemos resident, entered Singler’s residence in the early hours of Feb.

Purdue's Drey Mingo dominates MSU as Boilermakers defeat Spartans, 62-47, in Big Ten Tournament championship

In the MSU women’s basketball team’s 62-47 loss to Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament championship game, one player stood out above the rest – but she wasn’t a Spartan. One year ago, sixth year Purdue forward Drey Mingo stood on the sidelines in warm-ups as the Boilermakers won the Big Ten Tournament without her on the court. This season, she was named most outstanding player of the tournament.

MSU Power Plant to test biofuel from algae

Squishy, blue-green, wet, growing algae — what usually is thought of as fish food — potentially is a key to some of the energy and fuel sustainability challenges facing society. With the help of MSU researchers, algal biofuel research might be used to produce vegetable oils that can be transformed into clean transportation biofuels.
