Melissa Kwasny is the author of four books of poetry and co-editor of two anthologies. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Kwasny came out to speak to MSU students about her poems and her human rights anthology work.
It was an instantly telling indictment. In much of society today, working for the greater good generally is valued above focusing on one’s own personal needs. A community that focuses on collective action is stronger than one that preaches individual pursuits.
