The latest production to come to Wharton Center combines entertainment with education for a two-for-one experience. The new Broadway musical “Memphis” will open at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wharton Center’s Cobb Great Hall and run until Sunday.
Although I’ve formed great friendships here, some of my favorite weekends at MSU so far have been when my close friends from home come to visit. Solo Cup Company recently was bought out by Dart Container Corporation, which is based in Mason, Mich., for about $1 billion. Both companies are committed to being environmentally friendly, representatives said. Dart is one of the largest producers of foam cups, which require less energy to produce than plastic cups.
