NATO needs solid policies to survive, succeed

For many, the end of the Cold War marked the end of NATO. As an organization that was built and structured during a time when the U.S. and other nations were fighting communism, its mere existence now seems old fashioned and unnecessary. Darwinist research still ongoing, not unproven

I was thoroughly disappointed with the arguments presented in Karren Lewis’ letter to the editor titled Intelligent design has basis, Darwinism still unproven (SN 2/11). Pretending to be Oscar the Grouch, acting like an Amish out-of-towner in New York City and dressing up like a pirate might sound like three years’ worth of Halloween costume ideas. But for Jason Wilder Evans, that’s just a typical Thursday night.

BASKETBALL

Senior standouts

After connecting on four straight MSU shots late in the first half, Drew Neitzel decided to press his luck. The senior guard pulled up, dribbled in front of his Northwestern defender, shot a deep 3-pointer, and the ball grazed nothing but the bottom of the net. Heat-check diagnosis: hot.
