If you’re looking to trim down that extra winter weight in time for spring break or to improve your cardiovascular health, running may be your exercise of choice. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends an hour and 15 minutes of vigorous exercise, like running, per week.

Campus Bands holds concert Wednesday

The MSU Campus Bands, a program of the College of Music, will hold a concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Auditorium. Tickets are $9 for the public, $7 for senior citizens and free for students and those under 18. The Campus Bands will be split into two different bands that will perform different pieces during the concert. Music education senior Sarah Aungst, a band member, said while the band is affiliated with the College of Music, members aren’t all music students. “All kinds of students are in it and want to do it,” she said.

Purdue is listed next on the MSU men’s basketball team’s schedule, but head coach Tom Izzo still isn’t sure which team will show up tonight at Mackey Arena. It could either be the team with Robbie Hummel or the team without him. According to Izzo, the difference between those scenarios is like night and day.

The MSU hockey team had the towel in hand. After being pushed around, pummeled and knocked down time and time again this season, it would have been easy to simply toss in the towel and prepare for the next fight — or next season.

Affordable tuition necessary to future 

They tell us we are the future. They talk about the unlimited potential of our generation. They remind us that if we work hard, the boundaries of what we can accomplish are almost limitless.    Then, they cut our funding. ?For years, state governments have placed a dagger in the dreams of many young people by continually making higher education a low priority, forcing universities to raise tuition.
