National Night Out to create bond between community, police

E.L. Aquatic Center hosts Summer Splash
As the sun shined Wednesday and the smell of sunscreen wafted through the air, the joyful screams of children resounded from the East Lansing Family Aquatic Center. The aquatic center, 6400 Abbot Road, hosted its ninth daylong outdoor Summer Splash, an event that included a variety of water events and games, such as a balloon toss, relay races, a cannonball contest and a belly flop contest.
Census shows increase in young voters in 2008 election
Although overall voter participation remained statistically unchanged between the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections, the people making up the voting population did shift, including an increase in younger voters.
E.L. Aquatic center to hold summer splash Wednesday
The 2009 Summer Splash will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the East Lansing Family Aquatic Center, 6400 Abbot Road.
