MSU employees' direct deposit accounts hacked

According to a statement from the MSU Police, some MSU employees using direct deposit noticed unauthorized changes to their account information April 1.Police said an MSU NetID and password were used to hack into the accounts, where the perpetrator modified personal information in the payroll system.

Graduation should be priority

On May 2, my sister will make her way across the commencement graduation stage at the Breslin Center.I hope she doesn’t pee her pants from excitement.She is well-prepared and eager to enter the world as a professional communication arts and sciences graduate.Since her time here is almost up, it got me thinking about the process of graduation and what it takes to earn a four-year degree. Four years goes by quickly, and sooner rather than later, we will all hopefully be part of Spartan alumni groups.But not everyone decides to be a Spartan for life. For some students, MSU is merely a temporary stage of life or worse, a mistake.

As the Department of Education investigates MSU’s response to reports of sexual assault and harassment, documents obtained by The State News from a Freedom of Information Act request reveal allegations leveled at the university span over three years and three separate cases. The documents provide a new level of insight into the federal investigations, one of which has not yet concluded close to 33 months after it began.
