Concerts need to come through for students

For as long as can be remembered, concerts have been to college kids what Florida is to tourists. The best-known names in the entertainment industry — be it rappers, singers, bands or comedians — always seem to possess a magnetic force, hauling in crazed fans, truckloads of revenue, and, most importantly, great nights all around.

Morgan McGregor, found unresponsive on Grove Street on Saturday, was an accounting senior and member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Students and family close to McGregor converged at the Rock on Sunday afternoon to celebrate her memory.

MSU football crowns homecoming weekend with 56-14 blowout win over Wyoming

If it wasn’t already established through the first three games, it’s safe to say MSU is no longer known for being just a defensive team.For a second straight week, No. 9 MSU lit up the scoreboard, this time beating Wyoming by a score of 56-14 at Spartan Stadium on Saturday.

MSU alumna Jemele Hill hosts ESPN show "Numbers Never Lie" at MSU Union

MSU alumna and former State News reporter Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN 2’s “Numbers Never Lie,” recorded live from the MSU Union with co-host Michael Smith earlier today. The show aired noon to 1p.m. Hill, who graduated from MSU’s journalism program in 1997, was selected to be the Grand Marshall of the homecoming parade, taking place on Friday at 6 p.m.
