There’s something about Spartan Stadium under the lights. At least that’s what players are saying. As No. 10 MSU (3-1 overall) prepares to face No. 19 Nebraska (5-0 overall) for an 8 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, players, coaches and fans are getting wrapped up in the excitement of opening Big Ten play with a top-20 matchup.

With a new move, the MSU Extension Bookstore takes action on it’s future goals to promote their products online.The bookstore, operated through the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is a source of numerous books and products on agriculture, child rearing and health and nutrition programs.

Editorial: More handicapped seating is necessary in Spartan Stadium

Advertising junior Katie Feirer has a very simple request.She'd like to experience an MSU football game the same way her peers do.Feirer is wheelchair-bound, and as such, has been segregated from fellow student fans, because handicap accomodations in Spartan Stadium have effectively banished her to the other side of the stadium.And it's not just handicapped students who are forced into a different experience ? other disabled fans have been shuttled to the press box when there aren't enough handicap-accessible seats.

All the way from Destin, Florida, a new business has open its doors along Grand River Ave.East Lansing Threads, which opened next to Potbelly Sandwich Shop, sells a variety of brands to appeal to men and women of all ages.Owner and Destin, Florida resident Marsha Chouinard said she was told by friends and family members from Michigan to open a shop here since her store carries unique brands.“I investigated and nobody really had the brands I wanted to carry,” Chouinard said.

To some students, disc golf is 'more than smoking weed or drinking beer'

Heisman candidate Ameer Abdullah will challenge MSU defense on Saturday

The No. 1 objective for the Spartan defense this weekend will be to contain the most talented guy wearing red and white — Nebraska senior running back Ameer Abdullah.“Ameer is a guy who can make guys miss, can prolong runs, understands where his blocks are, understands seeing the field (and) has great field vision,” senior safety Kurtis Drummond said.
