Police looking for a man who robbed multiple convenience stores
Police departments from East Lansing, Meridian Township and Lansing are looking for a man accused of robbing multiple convenience stores in the capital area. According to the Lansing State Journal, the suspect robbed three convenience stores in three hours.

Power restored after Lansing outages
Parts of the Lansing area went dark on Friday night into Saturday morning with power outages, according Board of Water and Light, or BWL. A snowblower hit a padmount transformer, causing an outage near the 200 block of North Capitol Avenue. Nearly 100 residents also lost power along Grand River Avenue and Waverly Road in Lansing, as well as the Groesbeck area of Lansing, on Saturday morning due to a downed power line.

Student arrested for alleged attack on boyfriend
An MSU student was arrested for allegedly attacking her boyfriend at about 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 7 in West Owen Hall, according to police. MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said the 19-year-old student became violent during a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, a 21-year-old student, when she accused him of infidelity.
