Weather could chill home opener

According to the schedule, the MSU baseball team plans to make its 2008 home debut Friday at Kobs Field. Mother Nature might have other ideas, however, as of Wednesday, weather.com is forecasting a high of 37 degrees and a chance for snow showers.

Fouled out

ICE HOCKEY

Icers win first game in weekend series

The MSU hockey team has struggled in third periods at times this season. But against Northern Michigan on Friday night, the Spartans turned a one-goal game into a four-goal blowout, scoring three times in the final stanza to knock-off the Wildcats, 5-1, at Munn Ice Arena.
