Spartans fall to Nebraska 60-51

The No. 9 Spartans had a chance to take the outright lead in the Big Ten race, but Nebraska had other ideas. Led by Terran Petteway’s 23 points, the Huskers spoiled senior guard Keith Appling’s return to the court by topping the Spartans at home, 60-51. A win would have given MSU sole possession of first place in the Big Ten after Michigan fell at home to Wisconsin earlier on Sunday.
