Robotics teams to compete in championship

The first MSU college robotics team is looking to win its first trophy while strengthening its relationships with student teams it mentors at the 2011 VEX Robotics World Championship next month in Kissimmee, Fla.

A preliminary outline of the 2011 fiscal year East Lansing budget, which proposed numerous cuts to accommodate for decreases in funding from the state, was presented to the East Lansing City Council in its March 8 meeting.

The hubbub of activity normally caused by students who leave East Lansing for spring break temporarily was replaced by people interested in farming, agriculture and similar areas in celebration of MSU’s 95th Agriculture and Natural Resources, or ANR, Week.

Downtown developments, medical marijuana discussed by E.L. City Council

A revamp of sections of Albert Avenue and locations surrounding the Ann Street Plaza could take place this summer if construction plans discussed by the East Lansing City Council on Tuesday move forward. The council discussed the plans at its Tuesday work session at City Hall, 410 Abbot Road. The construction would consist of two separate projects, a Brownfield location located at 200 Albert Ave.
