Women win exhibition match

Basketball season is officially here. The MSU women’s basketball team came out on top in its first exhibition match of the season against Grand Valley State, 72-42, Thursday.

A yellow motorized scooter valued at $1,200 was stolen from a Spartan Village bike rack area Tuesday night, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

When the MSU men’s basketball team takes the court tonight for its first exhibition game of the season, it’s going to go up against a Grand Valley State University team that faces the same high expectations as themselves heading into the 2007 season.
