Fans were on the edge of their seats. Players on both benches were on their feet. And no one knew what the end result would be until the final whistle. It was a typical weekend of hockey in the rivalry series between No. 12 MSU and No. 20 Michigan.

America’s dependence on foreign oil hurts our economy, subsidizes hostile regimes overseas and puts our national security at risk. Rather than continuing to send billions overseas for Middle Eastern oil, new clean energy policies mean spending that money here at home on clean energy sources that will create new jobs, build new industries and make us more secure.

Kalin Lucas’ signature drive to the basket just got a little tougher. At least in practice. Former MSU guard Travis Walson, last season’s Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, has returned to East Lansing to complete three classes and receive his bachelor’s degree in family community services — also while joining the men’s basketball scout team.

A 21-year-old male MSU student reported a computer stolen from his backpack after it was taken from his car in Ramp 6, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
