Concealed carry right, not requisite

In the aftermath of the Colorado movie theater shooting, the Colorado Supreme Court recently ruled that the University of Colorado Boulder, or CU-Boulder, could not ban firearms on campus. The right to bear arms is a constitutional principle, but a college campus is a place where students should feel safe, whether they choose to carry a weapon or not.

MSU claims Ohio State's game film was "incomplete"

There was a slight bit of controversy following No. 14 Ohio State’s (5-0 overall, 1-0 Big Ten) 17-16 victory over the No. 20 MSU football team (3-2, 0-1) on Saturday, as MSU associate athletic director John Lewandowski said the Spartans received “incomplete,” game film from Ohio State prior to the game, a violation of Big Ten rules.

Hollis, wife make $1M donation for academics, stadium upgrades

MSU athletics director Mark Hollis and his wife Nancy Hollis donated $1 million to the university for the purpose of an academic scholarship endowment, improvements to Spartan Stadium and arts programming at the newly constructed Eli and Edythe Broad Art Musem and the Wharton Center for Performing Arts, MSU announced Saturday.

Tennen family requests to drop assault case

More than a month after journalism sophomore Zachary Tennen had his jaw broken in what he said was an anti-Semitic act, Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III received notice from the Tennen family that he drop the case. As of Thursday, no charges have been filed.
