RF In an attempt to truly understand and take on the problems that come with an overuse of fossil fuels, five MSU Honors College students have set out to find and display the effects of each individual’s carbon footprint on the planet.RF

Men's basketball hangs on for 66-60 win against Penn State

In a closer-than-expected contest, MSU held on for a 66-60 victory. The game started with fireworks, as junior guard Denzel Valentine lobbed the ball to senior forward Branden Dawson who finished emphatically with the slam. MSU (13-6 overall, 4-2 Big Ten) looked good early, jumping out to an 8-2 lead after Dawson netted two free throws.

Drummond, Langford and Lippett highlight Spartans at senior bowl

MSU will be represented well this week in the 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl, as several of the country's most talented upperclassmen showcase their skills on the field in front of a plethora of NFL scouts and coaches.  With the college football season officially over, the road to future professional careers begins at Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.

With the 400th men’s basketball game at Breslin Center in the books, it would be easy to look ahead to the program's next milestone. Head coach Tom Izzo should surpass 500 career wins next season, and we are probably more than half a decade away from the 500th men’s game at Breslin.
