Braving the cold, the MSU community came together on Monday morning to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and legacy at the 45th annual commemorative march in the IM East gym.
'Shucked' comes to MSU Wharton Center for Performing Arts
From Jan. 21 - Jan. 26, "Shucked," a Tony Award-winning musical comedy, will be coming to Michigan State University’s campus. Featuring a book written by Robert Horn, a Tony Award winner, "Shucked" will be shown at the Cobb Great Hall at the Wharton Center of Performing Arts.
MSU's MLK Student Leadership Symposium celebrates legacy, community
Students, faculty and community members came together to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr's legacy in an act of "radical community" during the MLK Student Leadership Symposium at Michigan State University. The event, which featured dancing, a keynote address and various artistic performances, was held on Jan. 18 in the MSU Union ballroom from 2:15 to 6:45 p.m.
State News alum publishes novel inspired by experience at MSU
Candace Johnson, then Candy McCrary, became part of a series of stories about race on campus that was published by The State News in the spring of 1990. In December of 2024, Johnson celebrated the release of her novel, inspired by articles written during that time period.
MSU Jazz concert to honor interwoven legacies of jazz music and Martin Luther King Jr.
