Senior Rhiannon Banda-Scott ended her home MSU gymnastics career with a little taste of perfection by scoring a perfect 10 on the vault during Senior Night.
The MSU gymnastics team seems to have started a trend. For the fifth time in as many opportunities, the team achieved a season-high score Saturday in a victory against Maryland, giving the team a 6-2 record.

After a record-breaking performance Sunday, Spartans gymnast Kristen Coleman was named Big Ten gymnast of the week on Wednesday. Coleman set a personal high on floor exercise Sunday with a 9.950, her highest individual apparatus score of the night.

The MSU gymnastics team dropped a 194.875-194.275 decision at No. 20 West Virginia on Friday night. "We are very proud of the way our team was able to put together such a strong road score," MSU head coach Kathie Klages said in a written statement. With a team score of 194.000, the Spartans edged past New Hampshire's score of 193.975, giving the Spartans their second straight first-place finish.
