With the academic year coming to an end for Spartan nation, MSU athletics will continue. Here are this week's events:

It is known as a rivalry between these two non-conference teams for a reason and it was shown Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans almost completed one of the biggest comebacks in the team's history, but could not finish as they fall to the Fighting Irish, 8-7.
After a dominating performance on Saturday, the Spartans play carried over to Sunday afternoon as they take both games in the weekend doubleheader over the Huskers.
Redshirt senior Branndais Agee, sophomore guard Taryn McCutcheon and redshirt sophomore guard Shay Colley all received All-Big Ten honorable mentions from coaches and media Monday afternoon. Junior center Jenna Allen received All-Big Ten honorable mentions from the media.

In the regular season finale, the Spartans spilt the weekend series against No. 5 Notre Dame making their overall record 12-19-2.

On the final home game of the season for the Spartans, seniors forward Dylan Pavelek, defenseman Carson Gatt and goaltender Ed Minney were honored before the game on their four-season careers at MSU.

After the men’s basketball team narrowly escaped Rutgers in overtime back in early January, head coach Tom Izzo challenged his leading man, sophomore guard Miles Bridges to be more of a “jerk” and develop more of a selfish approach on the offensive end.
