The Spartan football program finished at No. 15 in the last AP poll of the season Tuesday. This is the second-highest ranking for MSU in the 2017 season, with the Spartans being ranked as high as No. 13 in the AP poll.
Mark Dantonio's squad finished 10-3 this season, including a win over then-No. 21 Washington State in the Holiday Bowl. MSU also had marquee wins over Michigan and Penn State in the 2017 season.
By going 10-3, the Spartans completed the turnaround from 3-9 in the 2016 season and after four players were kicked off the team for allegedly committing sexual assault.
MSU will play its first game of the 2018 season on Aug. 31 against Utah State.
