Several MSU hockey commits set for early NHL Draft selection
Several Michigan State hockey commits are projected to be drafted in the 2026 NHL Draft, including Top 20-Ranked prospects like Chase Reid, Ethan Belchetz, Nikita Klepov and Thomas Bleyl.The draft will be held June 26-27 at Keybank Center in Buffalo, New York. The first round will be held June 26 beginning at 7 p.m. Rounds 2-7 will begin at 11 a.m. the following day.

Two Michigan State alums in PWHL Draft, highlight women’s hockey neglect at MSU
Recent Michigan State graduates Asher Printzen and Jullia Gross-Turkey will attend the 2026 Professional Women’s Hockey League Draft with hopes of hearing their names called on June 17, 2026. They are two of 236 players in the draft pool, including 23 Olympians. Printzen and Gross-Turkey both played club hockey at MSU since the university lacks an NCAA program.
Tom Izzo’s mother, Dorothy, passes away at 100
Michigan State men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo’s mother, Dorothy Izzo, has passed away six days after turning 100 years old. Dorothy Izzo went viral in the 2025-26 season after Tom Izzo said guard Kur Teng could not even guard his mother, Dorothy.
