Sexual assault trial for ex-MSU football players delayed

The sexual assault trial involving former MSU football players Donnie Corley, Josh King and Demetric Vance is delayed again.

All three players will be in court on Dec. 20 at 9 a.m. for a criminal pretrial, according to the 30th Circuit Court.

"We are still waiting on some forensic analysis from the state police," a spokesperson for Ingham County Prosecutor's Office said.

The former players were offered a plea deal but no there is no agreement reached, according to court records. 

Corley and Vance both face one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, while King has been charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of capturing and distributing an image of an unclothed person. 

More than 100 witnesses were interviewed about the alleged assault, The State News previously reported.
