Women's soccer scores Senior Day victory

It was only fitting for a pair of seniors to send the MSU women’s soccer team out with a win on Senior Day. Following a 3-1 defeat Friday at the hands of Penn State, the Spartans turned around and got goals from forwards Hannah Peterson and Laura Heyboer to dominate Ohio State and come away with the 2-0 victory at DeMartin Stadium at Old College Field. Following a 3-0 shutout win Thursday night, the Spartans made some costly errors that turned into goals late and they would fall to Ohio State at Munn Ice Arena, 5-2. “Ohio State came out real hard, as we expected that they would,” head coach Tom Anastos said.
