The life of an MSU cheerleader

The MSU Cheerleading team is known for its familiar chants and crowd engagement. But behind the high kicks, big stunts and chants are student-athletes who work long hours to represent MSU. 

FOOTBALL

MSU and Boston College to honor 9/11 hero in football matchup Sept. 21

The meeting between the two up-and-coming programs will be the "Red Bandana" game at Alumni Stadium and the annual tradition honoring fallen 9/11 hero Welles Crowther. Boston College players will wear special red bandana-themed uniforms with the words “For Welles" written across the back. Before the game, there will be a moment of silence held for Crowther and all victims of the 9/11 attacks.

MSU Madness time adjusted for Izzone campout, football game

The school announced Wednesday that Michigan State Madness, an annual event at Breslin Center introducing the MSU men's and women's basketball teams, will be held Friday, Oct. 4. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with festivities starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free. The start time is two and a half earlier than that of previous years.
