Michigan State basketball fans caught a glimpse of the team’s future in the backcourt during the Spartans’ blowout win over Georgia Southern Tuesday night.
Fresh off a loss against No. 3 Arizona on Thanksgiving Day, the Michigan State’s men’s basketball team returns home for a matchup with Georgia Southern on Tuesday night.
Michigan State head basketball coach Tom Izzo didn’t waste any time commending MSU football’s recent head coach hiring during his Monday press conference. Izzo, a known involver in the Spartans’ football program, began his conference by welcoming Jonathan Smith to Michigan State. He said he had dinner with Smith and his wife on Sunday evening.
Another slow start for MSU was the root of its 74-68 loss to the Wildcats on Thanksgiving Day in Palm Springs, Calif.. The Spartans started 3-for-15 from the field and trailed by 14 points midway through the first half.
