Smith, who recently transferred from coaching at Oregon State, will officially be part of this year's Spring Showcase, which marks the 15th and final spring practice during the offseason.
MSU softball swept by Indiana in three-game series, falls to 13-22 overall
The Michigan State softball team got swept in its three-game series against the Indiana Hoosiers this past weekend, losing 6-2, 12-4 and 7-2. With the three losses, the Spartans dropped to 13-22 on the season and 1-8 in conference play, winning only one of its last 10 games.
MSU softball prepares for home season opener, will face Indiana
Michigan State softball has had a rough season so far — the Spartans are 13-19 overall and 1-5 in Big Ten play. On April 5th, however, the Michigan State softball team looks to bounce back from a 1-2 series loss against Iowa as the Spartans will take on Indiana at home in a three-game series over the weekend, the first games they will play at home this season so far.
MSU women's tennis falls to Purdue 4-1, drop to 0-5 in conference play
The Michigan State women's tennis team fell to the Purdue Boilermakers, 4-1, which now extends its losing streak to four games. With the loss, the Spartans are now 9-10 overall and 0-5 in Big Ten play.
