MSU Kendo Club teaches students Japanese way of the sword

Michigan State University’s Kendo Club meets every Monday and Wednesday from 8 pm to 10 pm in IM Circle in order to teach, spread and practice the Japanese way of the sword. According to the club’s guidebook, they have been in existence since 1974 and have been practicing bi-weekly since its origination.

MSU running backs LJ Scott and Madre London emerge in Spartan backfield

On Saturday night, after MSU (2-0 overall) defeated Oregon (1-1 overall) 31-28 any questions about the Spartans backfield have disappeared.  Sophomore running back Madre London and freshman running back LJ Scott emerged as the lead backs in MSU's monumental win. London carried the ball 18 times for 114 yards and a touchdown and Scott had 11 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns.

Website ranks East Lansing No. 3 best city for sports fans

According to a report done by Wallethub.com, 2015’s Best and Worst Cities for Sports Fans, Michigan State and the city of East Lansing ranked number three as one of the best cities for sports. The study consists of a variety of variables, which include, ticket and merchandise sales, fantasy sports participation and social media output from fans.
