It was a stress-free night for No. 5 MSU, as they cruised past North Florida, 78-48.

Payne had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Dawson added 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Already suffering an ACL tear, a torn meniscus and a removed tumor in his pinky during his career, he decided he had too many bumps and bruises to continue playing basketball.
Requests for Rose Bowl tickets from university donors, students, season ticket-holders and Spartan Fund donors have topped 31,000 — about 7,000 more than MSU’s allotment — according to the MSU Athletics Department.
