Many believed Will’s past comments on sexual assault on college campuses sparked controversy on a campus where sexual assault is already a pressing issue, following a federal investigation of the university’s Title IX compliance.

During Board of Trustees meeting, one alumnus escorted out by police

During the meeting, MSU alumna Noah Saperstein voiced his displeasure with Simon's salary increase, prompting officials to escort Saperstein from the room. A struggle ensued in the hallway, where Saperstein could be heard yelling, "get your hands off me," repeatedly. It is unclear if charges are being filed against Saperstein.
