At Michigan State University, first and second-year students, with some exceptions, are required to live in on-campus housing. However, once that requirement has been fulfilled, many upperclassmen choose to live off campus in places, like apartments and houses.

MSU Cash Drops leaves cash for students around campus

MSU Cash Drops is a news Instagram account that has been leaving money around campus for any student to claim if they get there first. The account began in September 2025 and has gained over 5,000 followers. Students give comments on their attempts to claim the money in time.

ASMSU hosts city council candidate forum

In the last city council election, 45 students voted for a candidate. The panel served as an attempt to bridge the gap between the city of East Lansing and MSU students — a goal all six candidates supported.

With October being Disability Pride Month at Michigan State University, University Health and Wellbeing (UHW) is hosting plenty of events to honor and celebrate the contributions of the disability community, along with supporting mental health and wellness. Here is a list of events that will be going on all month.
