A committee to fix up the ASMSU Academic Assembly’s Code of Operations introduced its revisions to the assembly Tuesday night.The Code Revision Committee was formed in early September to revise the assembly’s code.
Recruitment for MSU’s Panhellenic Council begins today. The process consists of three components - phase A, phase B and preference. “Phase A is really a getting to know you phase,” said Elana Pure, Panhellenic Council vice president of external recruitment.
Weekends for some students consist of kegs and house parties, but more students this fall are putting away their six-packs in favor of tubs of popcorn and attending Campus Center movies at Wells Hall. Graduate student Erica Benson said she is a regular because there are no theaters close to campus. “I watch at least one movie a weekend, sometimes two,” she said.
MSU Assistant history Professor Roger Rosentreter learned Monday about a grant that will help to place resources on Michigan’s history online, and he’s already supportive of the idea.“A lot of information is in small library districts and the people outside that area don’t know about it,” said Rosentreter, who teaches a class about Michigan history and would consider informing his students about such a Web site.
