'Significant, disruptive' new block tuition model to be implemented by next fall

A new tuition structure — block tuition — will be implemented at MSU by the fall of 2019. Under the model, undergraduate students taking 12 to 18 credit hours will be charged a flat rate for tuition equal to paying for 15 credits.   Since its unanimous approval by the MSU Board of Trustees at the June board meeting, not much of its eventual implementation has been discussed, Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education Mark Largent said.

Directors explain decision to join compliance and audit offices

MSU announced a change in the structure of their new compliance office that will centralize the existing Department of Audit and Risk with the still-evolving compliance office. When the office was initially announced in July by Interim President John Engler, MSU law professor Nicholas Wittner was named interim director.
