New provost talks budget cuts, layoffs, 'One Team One Health'

Provost Laura Lee McIntyre adopted many responsibilities from her predecessor Thomas Jeitschko, among them an across the board directive to cut 9% over the next two fiscal years and an ambitious One Team One Health initiative that would potentially merge two colleges while also creating a new one.

Students feel budget cuts in the classroom

Though MSU has contended its sweeping budget cuts will be executed carefully, so as to "protect" the student experience, undergraduates have noticed changes in the classroom upon their return to campus this fall.
