Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are coming to Flint on Mar. 6. Though it will be easy to lose sight of the major issues the city faces in the wake of political infighting, many in the MSU community hold out hope that the debate will be beneficial for Flint’s citizens, not just the candidates on stage.

Students finalize plans to attend upcoming presidential debates

For the first time since the last presidential election in 2011, Michigan will host Democratic and Republican debates. Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will debate in Flint on March 6, while the Republican candidates will debate in Detroit on March 3.

Bringing Bernie Sanders to MSU a lengthy process

ASMSU has arranged for 2016 Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders to appear at Breslin Center this Wednesday at 7 p.m. Since the announcement of the Vermont Senator’s rally, “A Future to Believe In” on Saturday, over 1,000 people have RSVP’d as ‘going’ on the event’s Facebook page.
