Clinton, McCain earn N.H. primary victories

It was a comfortable win for one and a win that might have been too close to comfort for the other, but Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., nonetheless emerged victorious in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary. Clinton edged Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., who won Thursday’s Iowa caucus, despite trailing the Illinois senator in early polls Tuesday. She is the only big-name candidate on the ballot.
