Off-campus meal plans more expensive, but convenient students say

When it comes to choosing whether to live on or off campus, one thing many students have to consider is how they will eat. One of the major benefits of living on campus is the ease of access to the dining halls. For a certain amount of money per semester, students “living-on” get unlimited access to all the dining halls on campus. However, the plans differ for students off-campus.

OIE and Title IX offices release report with locations of sexual misconduct incidents

MSU’s Office for Institutional Equity and Title IX Office released a report about sexual misconduct and relationship violence complaints received by MSU during the 2015-16 school year. It’s the first annual report released by the office to inform the community about efforts to combat sexual misconduct and relationship violence on campus. “We believe the increase in reports is a result of efforts at MSU to raise awareness, rather than an increase in incidents,” Title IX Coordinator Jessica Norris said in a press release.

Actress Chloë Grace Moretz hosted a voter registration event at Wilson Hall

Actress Chloë Grace Moretz helped kick off a voter registration drive today at MSU on behalf of the Michigan Democratic Coordinated Campaign. The event held in Wilson Hall and open to MSU students, was organized as an effort to encourage students to register to vote and to vote for democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election.

Safe Night Club will walk you home

Although no messages were likely to come in, for any who may have needed them, they waited. The MSU Safe Night Club, founded last November, is the collective effort of four students to fill a perceived need in the community: a service to walk students home on the weekends, wherever on campus that may be, should they feel unsafe at night.
