Ex-MSU doctor Larry Nassar in police custody following Attorney General investigation

The Ingham County Sheriff's office confirmed that ex-MSU faculty member Larry Nassar is in police custody following an investigation by the Michigan Attorney General. According to court records obtained by the Lansing State Journal, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette's office obtained a felony warrant for arrest on three charges of first-degree sexual conduct with a person under 13, attributed to Nassar. For these charges, Nassar could face up to life in prison.

ASMSU low on funds for safe ride program, might implement tax

The Associated Students of MSU (ASMSU) is still working on developing a Safe Rides program for students to get home safely and to take proactive measures against assaults on and off-campus. MSU suffers data breach, exposing about 400,000 university records

MSU suffered a data breach exposing a database with about 400,000 records on Nov. 13, the university has confirmed. An unauthorized party accessed a university server which contains "sensitive data," according to the press release. Database contained about 400,000 records, including names, social security numbers and MSU identification numbers of some current and former students and employees.
