Public art provides a sense of place, community

The East Lansing Public Arts Commission and the Public Art on Campus Committee work to ensure that public art installations are a part of construction or development projects in East Lansing and on MSU's campus. These groups aim to incorporate public art in order to provide a sense of community, provoke thought and elicit emotions.

Weir on MSU’s campus faces possible removal

MSU’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities is seeking a grant from the DNR to remove the weir, a low-rise barrier built across the Red Cedar River to control the flow of water. The weir no longer serves a purpose, and is increasing flood risks.

MSU wrestling struggles against No. 7 Nebraska, falls 38-3

Michigan State University wrestling struggled to keep up with 7th-ranked Nebraska on Sunday afternoon, falling 38-3 at Jenison Fieldhouse. The Spartans secured just one win during the dual, courtesy of true freshman Mason Stewart. After the loss to the Cornhuskers, MSU dropped to 3-5 overall and remained winless in Big Ten competition at 0-5.
