Spartans prepare for '07 season without several key players

Lauren Aitch knows how it feels to go through an ACL tear. The sophomore center lost all of last season after tearing her right ACL in preseason practice, so it’s only fitting that she’ll be there for junior forward Aisha Jefferson, who was lost for the season with an ACL tear of her own during the exhibition win over Lake Superior State.

It is a month later than what the Michigan Constitution says, but we finally and officially have the state budget fixed for the next fiscal year. The whole state is split about the final solution, but no solution to the budget problem would be accepted by everyone.

A wallet containing $15 and multiple forms of identification was stolen from the purse of a 29-year-old student on Monday while she was in the Music Practice Building, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

Diane Goddeeris, Nathan Triplett and Roger Peters will join Mayor Pro Tem Vic Loomis and Councilmember Kevin Beard on the East Lansing City Council after the three were elected to four-year terms during Tuesday’s City Council elections.
