The MSU gymnastics team seems to have started a trend. For the fifth time in as many opportunities, the team achieved a season-high score Saturday in a victory against Maryland, giving the team a 6-2 record.

Evolution continues to be taught in most schools as the sole explanation of creation and the diversity of species. However, many of its claims fall far shorter than those of intelligent design. Darwinism states that a common ancestor connects all phyla because of natural selection caused by variable environments.

Windchill advisory in effect today

A windchill advisory is in effect for the Lansing area until noon today. This morning, the windchill was predicted to be near minus 24 degrees. According to the National Weather Service of Grand Rapids, wind gusts could reach about 30 miles per hour today.

Police Brief 02/08/08

A Hewlett-Packard computer, estimated to be worth about $900, and a computer case, worth about $25, were stolen from a student sometime between 6:10 and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

Debate team sets sights on nationals

Winning makes Abby Schirmer feel like all her hard work has paid off. The international relations senior got that feeling last weekend when the MSU debate team took home top honors in the Owen L. Coon “Big Ten” Debate Championships held at Northwestern University.
