A 53-year-old professor reported his department-owned Apple Macbook Air stolen between 3 and 4 p.m. Thursday from the Food Safety and Toxicology Building, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

Local man Loomis runs for re-election

Vic Loomis is a family man. Despite his busy schedule, he rarely misses a soccer game or a parent-teacher conference for his two young daughters. It’s part of the dedication the mayor has to his family, which he said carries over to dedication for the city of East Lansing and its residents.

Chris Schmidt is on a budget for Halloween this year. He has been unemployed for 18 months during the past three years, along with his wife, Heather. “Basically we’re limited, with all of our children, on what they’re going to be able to do for Halloween,” Schmidt said.
