Eleven-year-old Joey Berman went swimming with the big fish Sunday morning. He rode his bike and ran with them too. Berman was one of more than 300 participants in the Spartan Sprint Triathlon. Bill Hardiman’s, R-Kentwood, bill to restrict the use of Bridge Cards at casinos made sense.

Student voters turned out in droves for the 2008 presidential elections. With their help, President Barack Obama was elected. Now, less than a month before a closer-to-home election will take place, predictions point to increased apathy among student voters for an election that might prove as important as 2008, if not more.

FOOTBALL

Balance of Power

Since Mark Dantonio’s arrival in 2007, a new standard has been set at MSU. The reign of dominance by Michigan has shifted and the state of Michigan has become a two-team war.
