MSU hosts mental health events for students and staff

With October being Disability Pride Month at Michigan State University, University Health and Wellbeing (UHW) is hosting plenty of events to honor and celebrate the contributions of the disability community, along with supporting mental health and wellness. Here is a list of events that will be going on all month.

MSU Faculty Senate rejects Trump admin 'compact'

Michigan State University faculty voted Tuesday to oppose the federal government's offer for schools to adopt conservative policies in exchange for preferential treatment. No school has publicly accepted the offer, and MSU says it's "monitoring developments on the issue."

Women’s Basketball ranked No. 23 in preseason AP Poll

Michigan State women’s basketball enters the 2024–25 season ranked No. 23 in the preseason AP Top 25, marking the first time under head coach Robyn Fralick the program has opened the year nationally ranked. Despite graduating guard Julia Ayrault, the Spartans return key contributors Grace VanSlooten and Theryn Hallock while adding several experienced transfers and promising freshmen. MSU will open its season with an exhibition against Michigan Tech on Oct. 22 at the Breslin Center.

Canadian reunion propels MSU soccer's success

MSU has four players who hail from Canada on its roster: Noelle Henning, Renee Watson, Kayla Briggs and Sofia Beerworth. These players have each achieved impressive things aside from their time in green and white, including national team debuts and awards at the youth international level, and they play pivotal roles in MSU's success.
