MSU men's basketball earns several individual Big Ten honors

Michigan State men's basketball's Tyson Walker was voted to the All-Big Ten Second Team by the coaches and media for the second straight season. Walker averaged 18.4 points per game in 30 games this season while shooting 45% from the field and 37% from three-point range. Through 14 games, he averaged over 20 points per game on 45% shooting from deep. A.J. Hoggard and Malik Hall earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors. Hall averaged 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season and Hoggard averaged 11 points and five assists per game.

After a clinching victory to earn the title of Big Ten Champions for the first time in program history, the Michigan State men's hockey team traveled back to East Lansing in preparation for their semifinal game and an opportunity to host an opponent for the Saturday, March 16 game in the Big Ten Tournament. While Michigan State silently waits for its turn in the tournament, the success of the Spartans' season has been anything but unnoticed, from record-breaking achievements for the team, for the coaches and the youngest goaltender in college hockey.

MSU women's gymnastics sweep Quad Meet on Senior Celebrations Night, move to 16-3 overall

On Saturday, March 9, Michigan State's women's gymnastics defeated Greenville University, Central Michigan University and Fisk University in the MSU Quad Meet at Jenison Fieldhouse on Senior Celebrations Night. These three victories moved the Spartans, ranked No. 8 in the country according to Road to Nationals, up to a 16-3 overall record and extended their win streak to 13 matches.

TicketTime: The student-made app allowing students to track parking enforcement, limit tickets

MSU students have been receiving parking tickets far and wide and with increased prices, many are trying to figure out the best way to park on campus without breaking the bank. This common problem served as the inspiration for computer science senior Keshav Babu to create the app TicketTime, an app where students can report the presence of parking enforcement in specific lots across campus, giving students the opportunity to avoid the dreaded paper slip under their windshield.

MSU, Tucker to be sued by Brenda Tracy

Michigan State University and Mel Tucker are set to face a $75 million lawsuit from Brenda Tracy, a rape survivor and advocate who the university found to have been sexually harassed by the disgraced former coach while consulting for his team.

Malik Hall's double-double helps secure MSU men's basketball Senior Night win over Northwestern

Graduate student forward Malik Hall was a huge contributor on both ends of the court and capped off his Breslin career with a bang. Hall logged his fourth career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 17 rebounds. The veteran was a difference-maker against the Wildcats and played with an aggressiveness that secured a win for his final game at home.

MSU hockey head coach Adam Nightingale receives a five-year contract extension

With the continuing success of the Michigan State hockey program, including a record season and a Big Ten regular season championship, a new five-year contract for head coach Adam Nightingale has been announced. Under the helm of Nightingale, Michigan State's hockey team has had one of the best turnarounds in the history of college hockey and has not gone unnoticed, resulting in the announcement of the contract from MSU Vice President and Director of Athletics, Alan Haller.
