'The Order' a disappointing, slow religious thriller

After watching "The Order," filmgoers may do just that - order their money back. A suspense film that doesn't deliver, the movie boasted a colorful cast who only serve as window dressing for a poor script. Heath Ledger stars as Alex Bernier, a member of the mystic order of priests called the Carolingians.

'Music Man' a Broadway classic

White rappers should pay their respects to their forefathers - traveling salesmen from a highly-successful '50s musical. Hopefully readers are scratching their heads right now and Eminem is concocting a song about how he wants to kill me.

Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' maintains masterpiece status

On the cover of Michael Jackson's epic album "Thriller," the king of pop seems to be illuminated by an angelic light. It's quite likely that this seemly innocent heavenly glow is more than just a lighting technique, but a preview of the unearthly grooves of the music that lies within. "Thriller" is undeniably one of the best things to come out of a decade, which also spawned preferably forgettable movements such as tight-rolled jeans, hair bands and Boy George.

'Le Divorce' wastes talented cast

"Le Divorce" should be French for boring. The new but slow movie starring Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts has the makings of a good drama, but its convoluted and slow-to-develop script make you care nothing for the characters as they struggle with the differences between French and American culture. Watts plays Roxy de Persand, an American woman whose French husband leaves her just as her sister Isabel Walker (Hudson) arrives to visit.

'Jeepers' a rancid sequel

What does a filmmaker do when he releases a horror movie with a witless plot and a lame monster? Why, churn out a sequel of course. "Jeepers Creepers 2" is set a few days after the original, with the monster making the mistake of killing the son of a farmer (Ray Wise). The farmer and his older son are out for revenge and arm themselves with a homemade harpoon gun and their trusty farm dog.
