Directors explain decision to join compliance and audit offices

MSU announced a change in the structure of their new compliance office that will centralize the existing Department of Audit and Risk with the still-evolving compliance office. When the office was initially announced in July by Interim President John Engler, MSU law professor Nicholas Wittner was named interim director.

Meet the sophomore running for the MSU Board of Trustees

Political science and pre-law sophomore Aaron Mariasy is running for the MSU Board of Trustees. A Green Party candidate, Mariasy is the only student on the ballot. And similar to other candidates, he wants to rebuild trust in MSU and be a part of a cultural change.

MSU's campus is turning into an 'advanced mobility ecosystem'

MSU is transforming its 5,200-acre campus into a live, connected ecosystem to drive mobility and research, according to a university press release. Much of the transformation is complete and "MSU’s controlled infrastructure and active campus make it ideal to test emerging technologies for new mobility solutions," the release said.

Two seats on the Board of Trustees are now open and will be filled after the upcoming election Nov. 6. Four candidates are running for these open spots — Democrats Brianna Scott and Kelly Tebay and Republicans Dave Dutch and Mike Miller.
