Recent shooting draws attention to lack of parking lot security
In the most recent parking garage incident, two men were shot, resulting in one fatality. As of Tuesday, police have not announced the capture of any suspects, whom they described as two black males, the first being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing between 165 and 180 pounds and last seen wearing “a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.” The second was described as a 5-foot-11-inch black male, weighing about 200 pounds.

Handicapped East Lansing resident resumes litigation against Wayne County Airport Authority
The two plaintiffs in legal action that arising after Wayne County Airport Authority's decision to move the pick-up and drop-off location of the Michigan Flyer, AirRide and the SMART bus to the south end of the Ground Transportation Center are back in court — a motion to enforce the terms of the settlement was filed this month.

Acafellas, Capital Green, move on to a capella semifinals
This past Saturday, the Wharton Center for Performing Arts held the quarterfinals for the 19th International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). And for two MSU a cappella groups, the final results were aca-awesome. Winning the top two spots in the quarterfinals and heading to Dayton, Ohio for the ICCA Great Lakes Semifinals were MSU’s all male vocal group, the Accafellas, and coed vocal group, Capital Green. Since 1996 the ICCA has held competitions throughout the nation, giving hardworking a cappella groups the opportunity to showcase their talent.

Snyder won't appeal decision to recognize same-sex couples married during window
Gov. Rick Snyder will not appeal the U.S. District Court of Appeals decision of recognizing the validity of the same-sex couples who got married in March of 2014. “The judge has determined that same-sex couples were legally married on that day, and we will follow the law and extend state marriage benefits to those couples," Snyder said in a press release sent on Wednesday. The story of the assault was mainly confirmed by the witness testimonies, with a group of people coming into the karaoke club and beating the victim, Yan Li, with one striking him with a plastic water pitcher 20-50 times until it broke, causing a 4-centimeter long, 1-centimeter deep laceration behind Li's right ear.
