Following a road sweep of Notre Dame, No. 1 Michigan State hockey will host No. 7 Wisconsin in East Lansing. The games are set for Friday Nov. 21 at 8:30 p.m. EST and Saturday Nov. 22 at 7:00 p.m. EST on Big Ten Plus.

Over the weekend, No. 1 Michigan State hockey swept Notre Dame, defeating the Fighting Irish 4-1 on Friday night and 3-1 on Saturday night to remain undefeated in conference play. The pair of wins earned the Spartans two Big Ten Stars of the Week — junior netminder Trey Augustine and freshman forward Porter Martone.

Michigan State women’s soccer opened Big Ten play earning a draw against Rutgers. The Spartans put an end to their short-lived goalscoring woes but still could not manage to scrape out a win, finishing the match 1-1.

Losing back-to-back games and conceding eight goals within two matches is not a position Michigan State women’s soccer is used to being in. After falling 3-0 to No. 5 Notre Dame last Thursday and 5-2 to Xavier last Sunday, the Spartans are looking to start Big Ten play with a clean slate.

No. 5 Notre Dame women's soccer proved too strong for an impressive Michigan State side, as the Fighting Irish dismantled the Spartans 3–0, snapping their home unbeaten streak. While the scoreline does little to reflect the balance of play, it was Notre Dame who capitalized on their opportunities, leaving Michigan State to rue their missed ones.

Isaac Howard was MSU hockey’s golden player throughout the entire 2024-25 season. The junior forward collected pre-season First Team All-Big Ten honors, 26 goals and 26 assists in games played, a number of game clinching goals – including the overtime winner in the Big Ten tournament – and overall was a vision of what the team meant.

The Michigan State University softball team returned home to East Lansing on Tuesday following a 1-2 weekend at Illinois, hosting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a midweek matchup. Despite a back-and-forth battle, a strong fourth inning propelled the Irish to a 4-3 win.
