MSU basketball center Mady Sissoko to enter transfer portal

Michigan State men’s basketball center Mady Sissoko has entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, a program spokesperson confirmed on Thursday. 

Sissoko appeared in all 35 games for MSU in the 2023-2024 season, averaging 3.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game on 56% shooting from the field. The four-year player for head coach Tom Izzo saw a decrease in minutes this past season, playing six fewer minutes per game on average as a senior than a junior.

In his four years at MSU, Sissoko racked up 326 points, 441 rebounds, 65 blocks and 28 assists. He started in 33 of 34 games for the Spartans in the 2022-2023 season. 

The 6-foot-9 native of Mali, West Africa has one year of eligibility remaining.
