With the conclusion of the Big Ten basketball regular season on Sunday, the conference rolled out its postseason honors on Tuesday.

Michigan State men's basketball's Tyson Walker was voted to the All-Big Ten Second Team by the coaches and media for the second straight season. Walker averaged 18.4 points per game in 30 games this season while shooting 45% from the field and 37% from three-point range. Through 14 games, he averaged over 20 points per game on 45% shooting from deep.

A.J. Hoggard and Malik Hall earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors. Hall averaged 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season and Hoggard averaged 11 points and five assists per game.

For the fourth straight year, MSU was not represented in the All-Big Ten First Team. Cassius Winston was the last Spartan to earn a first-team selection in 2020

Walker and Hoggard were named to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team by the media after leading MSU to 21 wins and a Sweet 16 appearance in 2023. Hoggard earned an honorable mention by the coaches and a third-team selection by the media last season.

Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg won Big Ten Coach of the Year after leading the Cornhuskers to a third-place finish in the league. Hoiberg spent time as an assistant under Tom Izzo in 2019 when his son, Jack, played at Michigan State as a walk-on. Jack Hoiberg transferred to University of Texas-Arlington in 2021.

This week, Michigan State (18-13, 10-10 Big Ten) will travel to Minneapolis as the 8-seed in the Big Ten Tournament, where a matchup with 9-seed Minnesota awaits on Thursday at noon. Big Ten Network will air the game.
